Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 and Land Rover Defender are some of the most capable SUVs in the world. They are designed to go over any terrain and climb over anything. However, despite being the greatest, they can still get stuck if they are not properly used. And recently, showing this exact thing, a video has been shared online. In this video, a Land Cruiser LC300 gets rescued by a Land Rover Defender after it got stuck in snow.
Rs 2.5 crore LC300 gets stuck
This video of both of these SUVs getting stuck in snow has been on YouTube. It comes courtesy of Explore the Unseen 2.0 on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger and his friend driving their luxury SUVs in the hills of Himachal Pradesh.
They first get their SUVs refueled at the world’s highest retail outlet of Indian Oil. It was situated 3,740 meters above sea level. Following this, they continue their journey on the road. After this, they reach an empty road with snow on both sides.
The presenter then takes his Land Cruiser LC300 and drives into the snow. After this, it seems like his SUV is stuck. In the next moment, his friend arrives, and he asks him to also put his Land Rover Defender into the snow.
However, during this, the Defender gets stuck in the snow. So after trying different modes, when the Defender could not be recovered, it was rescued by the Land Cruiser LC300.

Moving the presenter in order to check the capabilities of the LC300 puts his car in the same ditch. This time around, his LC300 gets. Prior to this situation, his SUV came out due to the crawl mode and 4 low mode.
However, this time it got stuck deeply. So following this, the Land Rover Defender came to the rescue and pulled it out. Both the SUVs then continued their journey after this small detour.
Why did they get stuck?
As stated above, both of these SUVs are known for their off-road capabilities. However, in this video, both SUVs got stuck. Now you may be wondering why it is that they got stuck in such little snow? Well, there are a few reasons behind it.
The primary reason is that both of these SUVs were not equipped with all-terrain tires. Instead, both of them were fitted with standard highway tires. So the lack of grip in slippery snow caused the SUVs to get stuck.
Next up, another reason is that even highway tires can be used on snow, but they require snow chains. And as evident from the video, both of them were not equipped with snow chains. So it was obvious that they could get stuck.
Lastly, the weight of these SUVs is a lot. Although both the LC300 and Defender come with world-class off-road features, the sheer weight of these SUVs in a lot of situations hampers their capabilities of off-roading.
Lesson to be learned
From this video, the most important thing to learn is the fruit of preparation. Both of the SUV drivers, as seen in the video, have come with rescue equipment. They also were smart enough to only let one SUV get stuck at a time. This way, both of the SUVs were able to rescue each other after they got stuck.
