The car culture in India has improved over the decades, and we also have a decent population of supercars, sports cars, luxury saloons, and SUVs in the country. Most of these expensive cars are treated well by their owners. However, we often come across images or videos of expensive cars that are neglected or abandoned by their owners for some reason. Here, we have one such video where a multi-crore Bentley Arnage R luxury saloon is abandoned on the street in Pune.

The video has been shared by Pune Automotives on their Instagram page. It was recorded somewhere in Pune and shows an abandoned Bentley parked in an alley. We checked the comment section of the video to find the exact location, and it looks like one of the users knows it. The user has mentioned that the car is parked outside Seva Vikas Bank main branch near Kalewadi Pimpri bridge, opposite to Shubhangi.
The exact reason or the story behind the car is also not known. The car is completely ignored, covered in dust, dry leaves, and bird droppings from over the years. The registration number of the car was visible in the video, and we ran it online. This is a 2008 model Arnage R luxury saloon.
Many users are asking for the story behind the car. One of them wrote, “No idea man, but I guess the owner of the car might have financed it from the bank and wouldn’t have been able to repay the loan, so it’s sitting there. And that wasn’t the only car; there were two Range Rovers, a white Evoque, and a red Freelander, but they disappeared. The owner of the bank (Amar Mulchandi) was involved in a scam or something, so he is either in jail or dead.”
We did come across reports about the scam that the Instagram user mentioned in the comment. It is quite possible that the car is currently under the custody of a national agency. It should be noted that this is just an assumption that we have made based on the comments posted online.
All the chrome parts or panels on the car have lost their shine. There are visible signs of rust on the body. We do not see the interiors in the video, but they are expected to be covered in dust too. We are not sure for how long this car has been parked at this location. The Arnage R seen in the video was once the flagship model for Bentley.
It was one of the most luxurious sedans sold by Bentley and was in production from 1998 to 2009. The car was later replaced by the Mulsanne.
A brand new Bentley Arnage easily cost over Rs 2 crore. The car was powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that generated 406 bhp and 875 Nm of peak torque. The engine was mated to an automatic transmission, and the power was sent to the rear wheels. This is not the first time we have seen an expensive car abandoned.
A few weeks ago, we saw an Aston Martin Rapide abandoned in a parking lot in Mumbai. Other than this, we have also featured several abandoned Rolls Royce cars from different parts of the country. We don’t know if the car is still in running condition but we hope that it someone buys this car and restores it to its former glory.
