Former Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known for his love of motorcycles. He owns a number of vintage and modern high-end motorcycles that he uses to reach his cricket club in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Recently, a young cricketer and fan of Dhoni posted a video of the former captain giving a lift to him.

The video shows Mahendra Singh Dhoni on his Yamaha RD350 and the cricketer sitting on the pillion seat. Dhoni is cruising on the empty roads of Ranchi. The young cricketer seems extremely happy with the gesture and made a video of the ride.
But he was not wearing a helmet or any other safety gear. Dhoni was wearing a Tiivra helmet, which is a made-in-India brand. While it is illegal to ride on a two-wheeler without a helmet, in many cities other than the metropolitans, the cops do not stop you for such violations.
Many have also commented about the visible white smoke from the exhausts of the RD350. Well, it is a 2-stroke and this is how the automobiles used to be. However, it is possible that there is a possible leak in Dhoni’s RD350’s engine sealants.
The Indian RD350 did suffer from a few problems due to massive cost-cutting initiatives. In fact, the Indian version of the RD350 also did not offer a CDI. Instead, it came with a Points ignition system, which was highly unreliable. The problem of the bike not starting was a common issue and possibly one of the biggest reasons behind the unpopularity of the RD350. Today, many enthusiasts try to convert their RD350s to CDI systems, but it seems like Dhoni, who is a huge fan of the RDs, kept his bike in stock condition.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s mega bike collection
Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a mega garage made entirely of glass that houses all his motorcycles. While the exact number of motorcycles stationed in his garage remains unknown, he reportedly owns more than 150 motorcycles, including his collection of old bikes.
Hardik Pandya, who was in Ranchi recently to play a cricket game, posted a picture with Dhoni on a BMW R71 complete with a sidecar. Dhoni also owns a few units of Yamaha RD350, which he claims to be his favorite bike. Other two-strokes in his garage include the likes of Yamaha RX100, Suzuki Shogun, vintage motorcycles from Norton, Jawa, and BSA, among many others.
Besides motorcycles from the previous era, Dhoni also owns a few modern motorcycles like the Kawasaki Ninja H2, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, Harley Davidson Fat Boy, and the ultra-rare Confederate X132 Hellcat.
The former cricketer is often spotted on the roads while riding his motorcycle from a cricket practice session to home. He seldom uses four-wheelers, especially when he is alone, but owns a slew of rare cars, including a Hummer H2 and Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat.
