PARIS â Late Thursday night on the 40th floor of the Tour Montparnasse, Paris-based upcycling label All-In staged an off-calendar show that brought insiders to their feet.
The project has attracted considerable heat thanks to super-stylist Lotta Volkova, who consults for the label. And in five seasons, designers Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø have succeeded in turning what began as refashioning pieces for photoshoots into a full-fledged brand thatâs helping to fuel a new wave of eco-minded fashion, alongside the likes of Hodakova and Duran Lantink.
Thursdayâs show â composed of flea market finds cut and paste with a late-80s prom-dressing vibe and paraded on a cast of what one editor called âcunty uptown girlsâ strutting to a hyperspeed mish mash of Cyndi Lauper and the âSex and the Cityâ theme song â had a raw energy that is rare in Paris and underscored the labelâs potential.
