Climate management in greenhouses is a critical component for maintaining the balanced conditions needed for suitable plant growth. However, greenhouse climate control can be a tricky business when considering the issues of increasingly common extreme weather events, cost-effectiveness measures, the development needs of multiple crops/plants, and constantly evolving tech within the market.
American Floral Endowment‘s upcoming webinar on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, as part of its ongoing Grow Pro series, will cover the latest news and innovations in the realm of greenhouse climate strategies. Covered topics of the webinar will include:
- Adaptive climate management
- Crop-specific strategies
- Energy-efficient solutions
- Precision climate control
- The latest advancements in climate tech, including AI
The featured speaker for “Greenhouse Climate Strategies” is Dr. Bruce Bugbee, Professor of Environmental Plant Physiology at Utah State University. Bugbee completed his Ph.D. in environmental plant physiology from Penn State University after receiving his master’s degree in crop physiology from the University of California, Davis. In addition to his work at Utah State, Bugbee founded Apogee Instruments in 1996, which creates and sells research-grade sensors and measurement devices, and currently acts as the company’s president.
