The propagation of cuttings, seedlings, and transplants is where the business of any greenhouse operation starts, but that doesn’t make the process any less challenging for some. The production of young plants, especially for those inexperienced with a certain genus or variety, can often lead to premature plant death and organic litter thereafter. The practices, technology, and controls of a greenhouse operation need to be optimized to reduce the risk of plant waste, leading to a higher rate of success with young plant propagation.

The featured speaker for “Fine-Tune Your Greenhouse Controls for the Young Plant Season” is Dr. Paul Fisher, a Professor and Floriculture Extension Specialist at the University of Florida. Fisher completed his Ph.D. in horticulture at Michigan State University after receiving his Master of Applied Science at Lincoln University in New Zealand.
