Lanvinâs debut show by Peter Copping, who was appointed artistic director of the brand in June, will take place during the January menswear season in Paris.
The event will be an âintimate runway presentationâ of the womenâs and menâs ready-to-wear collections for autumn-winter 2025, Lanvin said Tuesday.
A move to the less-crowded menswear calendar could help position the Paris-based luxury brandâs return as one of the weekâs highlights. Roman rival Valentino has pulled out of menswear week, preferring to show fewer, mixed-gender collections under creative director Alessandro Michele, while a likely ready-to-wear debut show for Chanelâs next designer (yet unannounced) risks dominating the spotlight during the next womenâs season.
Prior to Lanvin, Copping was head of couture at Balenciaga, following stints as creative director at Oscar de la Renta and Nina Ricci. The British designerâs first collection for Lanvin âpromises to telegraph what [founder] Jeanne Lanvin herself called le chic ultime [ultimate chic],â the brand said.
