Thiago Motta hasn’t quite had a rosy time at Serie A giants Juventus but his entourage has now stated that he will be one of the best coaches in Europe soon.
The Bianconeri have all but lost all possibility of winning silverware this season and find themselves at fourth in the table. Motta’s future has been called into question and his entourage has now spoken to Telelombardia about their client’s situation in Turin and how everything is panning out at Juventus.
Dario Canovi, a long-time agent and a member of Motta’s entourage along with agent Alessandro Canovi, spoke to the outlet and said (via Calciomercato): “It’s been a troubled experience so far, last year everything good was said, now everything bad. He’s making mistakes, but no one has made an objective analysis of what’s happened in the last 8 months at Juventus.”
Speaking about Motta’s abilities as manager, they said: “Thiago Motta will become one of the best coaches in Europe. I’ve been in the game for 50 years and I’m convinced of it. The expectations on him and on the Bianconeri market have been excessive. Andrea Berta told me that Juve’s squad is fourth-fifth [best in Serie A].”
They also stated that Milan’s squad is stronger than that of Juve’s and the Bianconeri were not challengers for the title even when the season started.
“It’s wrong to think at the start of the year that Juve’s squad could fight for the Scudetto: anyone who says that isn’t a great football expert. Milan’s squad is stronger than Juventus’. With Motta, Weah is becoming one of the best full-backs around.”
Juventus take on Fiorentina in a key game tomorrow and there has been talk of the fact that a failure to win can spark action, when it comes to Motta’s future.
