Just-Launched Pulsar N250: First Ride Review Video


Bajaj, the famous two-wheeler manufacturer in India, recently updated their quarter-litre naked streetfighter, N250, to its 2024 iteration. Today, we will talk about the ride review of the same via a YouTube video uploaded by Bunny Punia. Before talking about the ride review, let’s look at changes made.

Even after numerous upgrades and additions, there has been no price increment. The Bajaj Pulsar N250 is still priced at Rs. 1.51 lakhs ex-showroom. A notable mechanical change done to the motorcycle is its front suspension. The bike came with telescopic suspension at front which has been replaced by the USD forks. The rear suspension is kept the same which is the preload adjustable mono-shock.

It now comes with a wider 140 section rear tire along with three new ride modes for ABS which includes rain, road and on/off. The bike has been upgraded in terms of features as well. The ana-digital instrument cluster of the motorcycle is now replaced with a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity.

It has multiple features on offer, such as multiple trip meters, distance to empty, gear position indicator, and digital tachometer, along with Bluetooth connectivity, which allows the rider to see call and SMS alerts, phone battery status, and signal strength status on the screen itself.

It also provides the option to accept or reject calls using the button on the left switch cube. In addition to all of this, the bike comes with refreshed graphics and an updated colour scheme. The bike offers multiple other features as well, which include a bi-functional LED projector headlamp, LED DRLs, and a USB charging port.

Now, let’s start with the ride review. The video begins with the shots of the bike being driven around. The host mentions that there is no other bike at this point that provides a riding experience similar to that of the N250. The bike drives and handles exceptionally well. The motorcycle is enjoyable to ride.

The host then compares the NS 250 to its competitors which includes the Honda Hornet 2.0, Apache RTR 200, Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha MT-15. Out of all these options, the Pulsar N250 comes out to be the most value for money one.

The host talks about all the changes that have been made to the motorcycle. He mentions that the engine of the bike remains the same. The Bajaj Pulsar N250 is powered by a 249 cc air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 24.1 and 21.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, which comes with an assist and slipper clutch.

The host mentions that the bike can easily cruise at 80 to 90 kmph without any vibrations. The acceleration of the bike is really smooth and there is no harshness. The host also adds the exhaust note in the video which according to him is exceptionally good.

Regarding seating comfort, the host states that even a 5’10 rider can easily drive this bike. Along with this, he said that the seats are really nice and can easily accommodate wide people. In addition to all other features, the bike comes with disc brakes on both the front (300 mm) and rear (240 mm) and 17-inch alloy wheels.
