Hyundai offers the Venue in 24 variants with various engine and transmission options. Each variant has some key differences. Today, we will cover the S(O) model of Hyundai Venue in Knight Edition via a YouTube video uploaded by Car Director.
As usual, the video starts with the front look of the car. The one shown in the video is the Venue Knight Edition, and it comes with blacked-out elements at multiple places. At the front, the Venue follows the industry trend of bumper-mounted headlights with DRLs and indicators placed close to the bonnet.
This variant of the compact SUV features projector-based LED headlamps and halogen turn indicators. Knight edition-specific changes include a glossy black grille and A-Pillar with blacked out Hyundai logo and skid plate.
A major letdown of this variant is its 15-inch steel rims instead of alloy wheels. However, it comes with various features such as an electric sunroof, shark fin antenna, keyless entry, and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. Multiple Knight Edition changes are also made to the side profile, which includes glossy black wheel caps, ORVMs, red brake calipers, and roof rails.
The Venue’s rear is designed with the trend of connected taillights in mind. It features a small Knight Edition badge along with a black skid plate. The SUV misses out on features such as a rear wiper with washer. However, it offers a reverse parking camera and 2 parking sensors, adding to the convenience.
Now, let’s discuss the details of the interior. Following the same theme, the interior is all-black. The entire interior is finished in plastic except the door armrests, which are leather-wrapped. Amenities at the rear seat include three adjustable headrests, AC vents, and two Type-C charging ports.
The car’s seats are wrapped in a combination of fabric and leatherette. The Hyundai Venue is a feature-rich SUV. It offers multiple comfort and convenience features, such as steering-mounted controls, push-button start, auto AC, fully digital instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel, height-adjustable driver seat, dash cam (Knight Editions only), and auto-dimming IRVM.
The SUV features an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Bluelink connectivity. This infotainment system delivers output through a 4-speaker and a 2-tweeter music system.
The Hyundai Venue offers three engine choices:
- A 1.2-litre Kappa Naturally Aspirated Petrol Engine producing 83 PS and 114 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual only.
- A 1.0-litre T-GDI Turbocharged Petrol Engine produces 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.
- The 1.5-liter U2 CRDi Diesel Engine churns out 115 PS and 250 Nm, and it is paired with a 6-speed manual only.
Talking about the safety, the Venue boasts a robust construction and comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, and Traction Control. Higher trims offer additional safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist control (HAC) and Level-1 ADAS features.
The pricing for the Hyundai Venue starts at Rs. 7.94 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 13.48 lakhs. The video shows the base variant of Knight Edition, which is S(O) and priced at Rs. 10.12 lakhs. Please note that all the prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
