Most recently, another incident caused by such distracted driving of a new facelifted Tata Harrier has been shared online. Thankfully, the life of the owner of this SUV was saved due to the solid build quality of Tata Harrier facelift.
Tata Harrier facelift accident
This video of the Tata Harrier crash comes courtesy of Nikhil Rana from YouTube. According to the video, this accident has been reported from the state of Telangana. As per the email received by the creator, he narrates the entire story behind this serious crash.
The presenter mentions that the truck was parked on the left side of the road. Most likely, it was stopped due to a breakdown. Following this, he adds that the owner of this particular Tata Harrier facelift was driving at a high speed. Unfortunately, he was using his smartphone at the time and got distracted.
Soon after this, he crashed his Harrier with the rear right side of the truck. And because the collision took place at a high speed, his car’s front left side was completely destroyed. We can note the damage on the bonnet, front bumper, left fender.
Additionally, the headlight unit has also been destroyed. Interestingly, despite this severe crash, the LED DRL and turn indicator of the front left were still working. The presenter added that all the airbags opened on time and saved the life of the driver.
What happened to the driver?
As stated, the airbags helped the man to escape an extremely serious accident with just minor injuries. In the video, it can be noted that the man was given a chair and he was sitting on it with some minor scratches and injuries. The Harrier, on the other hand, has taken the entire brunt of the accident.
Tata Harrier has proved its safety
This is not the first time that the Tata Harrier has proved its safety. Just a few days ago, it was reported that a couple survived a horrific crash in their pre-facelift Harrier. And after their crash, they once again bought another new Tata Harrier facelift as they were impressed by its safety.
It was reported that the couple had suffered a severe rear-end collision by a Maruti Brezza. At the time, they were inside their three-month-old Harrier Dark Edition. The car at the time of the accident had only 3,000 km.
The couple reported that as the accident was so intense, their Harrier was pushed on top of a divider in the middle of the road. They added that the spare wheel mounted under the floor fell down, and the engine from the front also dropped on the road.
Following the accident, the car was taken to the dealership. There, it was assessed by the insurance company which claimed that it would cost Rs 25 lakh to repair the car. So they deemed it as a total loss and provided the money to the owner.
The couple then took test drives of numerous cars. They said that they drove the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, and other cars. However, they ended up booking the new facelifted Harrier. But despite this, as the car was being delayed, they wanted to cancel their booking. But at the last moment, they got the call for the delivery of it.
