Beloved New York City Italian Restaurant Rosemary’s Plans to Open Wynwood Location

Rosemary’s is preparing for its upcoming late-fall 2024 launch of a new location at 322 NW 25th St. in Wynwood. Since its establishment in 2012, the West Village establishment has been cherished for its high-quality, diverse and affordable offerings, a tradition it maintains. With two other locations in New York City and an outpost in Tokyo, Rosemary’s has become synonymous with fresh, locally sourced Italian cuisine, gracious hospitality and outstanding value.

Rosemary’s in Wynwood plans to repurpose a single-story shoe warehouse and an adjacent empty lot into an oasis for outdoor dining surrounded by an urban farm inspired by the Tuscan countryside. This project is being developed in partnership with Miami’s Little River Cooperative.

Rosemary’s Wynwood aims to provide a sophisticated dining experience emphasizing sustainability and locally sourced ingredients while promoting the idea that great design and food can be accessible to everyone. Rosemary’s Wynwood aspires to build a genuine connection to Miami’s vibrant and diverse culture by collaborating with locals, small businesses, and organizations that share their values

“We’re excited to bring Rosemary’s to Wynwood,” says founder/owner Carlos Suarez, the Cuban-English restaurateur behind New York City’s Casa Nela hospitality group. “We look forward to helping to shape and contribute to the Wynwood neighborhood as it continues to rapidly evolve. Rosemary’s will offer an oasis of neighborly warmth, good taste, and good food without pretense or high prices. My family called Miami home for close to 20 years, so opening feels like a homecoming, and we hope Rosemary’s, for locals and visitors, will feel like home to them as well.”

Suarez selected Miami-based Executive Chef Craig Giunta to lead the kitchen at the Wynwood location. With a strong background that includes Mother Wolf, Concours Club, and Macchialina, Giunta will prioritize locally sourced ingredients, some of which will be cultivated in Rosemary’s garden to mirror the West Village location’s renowned rooftop farm. The menu will reflect Rosemary’s strong ties to the land, featuring a diverse selection of seasonal vegetables, homemade pastas, and fresh seafood.

The 7,000 square-foot indoor-outdoor space, designed by Dekar Design, an NYC interior design firm responsible for all seven Casa Nela restaurants, will capture the essence of an urban farmhouse by blending rustic charm with contemporary elements. An outdoor garden will also serve as an ideal space for cultivating in-house produce and herbs.
