South Bay Lakers recap: Quincy Olivari's big game leads Lakers to win

The South Bay Lakers had a four-game winning streak snapped on Monday when they lost 110-97 to the Motor City Cruise. They looked to get back on track on Thursday at UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo versus the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

It was still down by a score of 51-48 at halftime, but a 14-2 run early in the third quarter turned the game around for it. South Bay was able to maintain enough control the rest of the way and come away with a 107-100 victory.

Rookie guard Quincy Olivari had an impressive performance with 28 points on 9-of-15 field-goal shooting and 5-of-10 from 3-point range, eight assists and seven rebounds, although he did commit nine turnovers. Forward Cole Swider hit half of his 12 shot attempts and three of his eight attempts from downtown to score 17 points, and forward Stanley Johnson scored 17 efficient points of his own.
