Team USA beat Nigeria during the women’s basketball quarterfinals at the 2024 Paris Olympics – bringing their undefeated record at the Olympic Games to an astonishing 59-game streak – which means they’ll compete against Australia in the semifinals on Friday, August 9. The other two teams to make it to the semis are are France and Belgium; their game will also be played on Friday. The winners of each game and the losers of each game will compete in the gold and bronze medal finals, respectively, on Sunday, August 11.

12 women’s basketball teams started out at the 2024 Olympics. France gained automatic qualification as the host country. The other countries that qualified are listed below:
