The upcoming 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is set to bring several exciting new features, enhancing its appeal in the sub-compact sedan segment. The launch date is unknown, but it will be launched only after the launch of the new Swift in May 2024. The new Dzire will come with an upgraded cabin with modern comfort and convenience features, along with improved safety features aimed at increasing its appeal in the Indian market.

Sunroof
The new Dzire will come equipped with a sunroof, as confirmed by recent spy shots. This addition will cater to buyers seeking a sunroof-equipped car without stretching their budget. However, only a single pane sunroof is expected at this price point. Upon launch, the Dzire will be the first car in its segment to feature a sunroof.
Larger 9-inch Touchscreen
The current 7-inch unit will be replaced by a 9-inch touch screen unit. This upgraded infotainment system will feature wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality and connected car technology. The cabin layout of the new Dzire will resemble other Maruti models, such as the Fronx and Baleno. However, it will come with a distinct colour scheme.
360-degree Camera
Some sources suggest that the upcoming Dzire may feature a 360-degree camera system as well. This advanced camera system will allow drivers to easily park the car and manoeuvre it in tight spaces. Currently, Maruti models such as the Baleno, Brezza, and Grand Vitara come equipped with the 360-degree camera setup.
6 Airbags
Safety will receive a significant boost with the inclusion of six airbags as standard in the 2024 Dzire. This aligns with the industry trend of offering six airbags across car lineups. In recent times, buyers have become more conscious towards buying safer cars.
Wireless Phone Charger

It is unclear if the engine and transmission options will be updated with the 2024 Dzire. The car is currently sold with a single engine option: a 1.2-litre NA petrol producing 90 PS and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The Dzire is also offered in CNG variants with manual transmission only. However, the power is reduced to 77 PS and 98.5 Nm in CNG.
With these modern features, the upcoming Dzire promises to offer a more premium and desirable driving experience than its older versions. We can expect a slightly higher price tag than the current model, which starts from Rs 6.56 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the upgraded Dzire will rival the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor in the sub-compact sedan segment.
2024 Maruti Swift
The launch of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is scheduled for May 9th. Recently, there was unexpected price hike for the current 2023 Swift model by ₹25,000 in India. This price increase is unusual as automakers typically lower prices of existing models to clear inventory before introducing new ones. Additionally, the 2024 Swift will feature a new design and a 1.2-liter petrol engine, with modifications like LED lights and new alloy wheels. It will lack certain features available in international versions, such as the 12V mild hybrid system and All-Grip AWD.
